them my love.

You must be having hot weather in the city for it is hot enough here and never have I known mosquitos to be so bad. They “eat” me [one?] alive. We are treated remarkably well. I wonder out [about?] it and most of the officer I have talked with have been very fine men. Was talking with Major Weeks from 2:30 to 7 p.m. this afternoon with one or two interruptions and found him a splendid man. I almost wish they weren’t so fine. Argument would be easier or opposing them would at least.

Love to all

P.S. If it is no trouble Norman could bring a pound or two of sugar when he comes it would be appreciated.
